Sid Hammer
A R C H I V E
Sid Hammer was an artist and activist whose drawings, prints, paintings, and writing(s) have fallen into obscurity following his untimely death in 1969 at 43.
Troubled by his visions of a dark dystopian future, Hammer worked tirelessly to show the inequities and injustices he saw around him and to depict how they might magnify and metastasize, if left unchecked.
Hammer’s work challenges the direction humanity is heading in, and is perhaps more relevant now than it was when he created it.
The collection of Sid Hammer's work is being archived because we feel strongly that Hammer's vision and insights deserve to be seen again.
